Ichiro Kishimi was born in Kyoto, where he continues to reside. As a respected writer and lecturer on Adlerian psychology, he also works as a certified counselor and consultant for the Japanese Society of Adlerian Psychology, providing counseling for youths in psychiatric clinics.
