A Court of Wings and Ruin A Court of Thorns and Roses 3 A Novel by Sarah J. Maas Quotes
-
It’s a rare person to face who they are and not run from it – not be broken by it.
-
I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have… the wait was worth it.
-
Kindness can thrive even amongst cruelty.
-
You do not fear… You do not falter. You do not yield.
-
But this is war. We don’t have the luxury of good ideas—only picking between the bad ones
-
It’s already ended badly. Now it’s just a matter of deciding how we meet the consequences.
-
I couldn’t help my blush. Especially as Rhys added, Tonight, I want you to wear that crown to bed. Only the crown. Scoundrel. Always. I
-
I put a hand on my chest, leaning against the wood panels of the stair wall. Rhy’s hand covered my own a heartbeat later. “That’s what I felt,” he said, “when I saw you smile that night we dined along the Sidra.
-
And in the distance, so faint I thought I might have imagined it, a beast’s roar cleaved the land.
-
I have no regrets in my life, but this. That we did not have time. That I did not have time with you, Nesta. I will find you in the next world – the next life. And we will have that time. I promise.
-
Only you can decide what breaks you, Cursebreaker. Only you.
-
Remember that you are a wolf. And you cannot be caged.

A Court of Wings and Ruin A Court of Thorns and Roses 3 A Novel by Sarah J. Maas Book Summary
Part One: Princess of Carrion
The first part, named “Princess of Carrion,” probably depicts Feyre coming back to the Spring Court following her difficult experience Under the Mountain with Amarantha. The title implies Feyre is shattered and suffering emotionally as if she is an abandoned body trapped in a luxurious prison. The selected passages demonstrate Feyre’s active resistance against Tamlin and the Spring Court despite pretending to be a submissive captive.
She tricks Brannagh and Dagdan, the Hybern royals, into attacking Ianthe, escalating the conflict within the Spring Court. With Lucien’s assistance, she flees, putting her escape plan into action and making the Spring Court susceptible to Hybern’s control.
Part Two: Cursebreaker
Part Two, “Cursebreaker,” probably details Feyre’s experiences in Velaris and her education with Rhysand. This part likely details Feyre freeing herself from the mental and emotional grip Tamlin had on her. She has transitioned from being a passive prisoner to taking an active role in shaping her destiny, embracing her strength and ability as a High Fae.
She faces her past wounds, hones her skills, and uncovers the reality behind Rhysand and the Night Court. The title suggests that Feyre will conquer both external curses, such as Amarantha’s, and internal obstacles that have hindered her progress.
Part Three: High Lady
Part Three, titled “High Lady,” probably discusses the Hybern war and Feyre’s growing power as Rhysand’s partner and High Lady of the Night Court. This section probably highlights Feyre’s skills in leading as she unites supporters, creates plans, and battles with her loved ones.
The passages in this section show the growing tension, the important discussions with other High Lords, and Feyre’s involvement in combat. The title demonstrates Feyre’s transformation from a human hunter to a strong faerie ruler, able to demand respect and exert substantial power.
